What repair is the car in for? Heard a lot of screwy problems with the tensioners, etc.

That part is out and open because of an oil leak. Also, this is in the allroad section, I though allroads had the belt driven version?
Nope. It's essentially the same version that's in the S4, not the same as the one in the A6.

And that right there is the reason those motors make such an aweful racket on start-up before the oil pressure is fully to spec.
