I am looking at getting new springs but is that all i need? i called a body shop and they mentioned something about struts so idk if i need to get those as well or if springs is all i need.

aftermarket springs will wear your stock shocks out eventually. If you are paying someone else to have this done, you should get heavy duty shocks at the same time.

Are there certain aftermarket brands of struts that you guys would reccomend? suspension is not an area im familiar with

talk to the guys at Achtuning 425.895.0000 and tell them what you are looking to do. They will help you find the right suspension option for you.

Go with coilovers.  You wont wear out the shocks like with springs, and you can figure out the height that works for you.

The B7 looks so much better lowered.

i was trying to avoid coilovers since there so goddman expensive but looks like thats the safest route to go

St coilovers are just a tad bit more than springs/struts... FYI Just save. Buy coils and you wont ever need/want anything else.
